First up - venues

So first on our list would be the venue. We will start looking in about a week or two but until then we just want to soak up being engaged before all the stress comes! I can only imagine how many tiffs we are going to get in haha! We are both stubborn :)

Engagement Party Pics

Here is a few pics from our engagement party. We went out to eat at Superior then went to a bar which I don't even remember the name of it. It was a blast though!

So last night I got some great news! I got my first paid photo shoot. I did some senior photos for Brandon and his mom said she wanted to pay me $150 because she absolutely loved them! I could not be any more excited right now! So now I just have to get Chris on board and we can be in business!!

The Ring

The proposal story

So I get off work Thursday night and go home. I see a note on the door and it says "Game!". On the other side it says...Lets play a game. There are numbers in order from 1-6. Follow the clues to get to the next number. Good luck. At this point I have no idea whats going on. So I walk inside and all the lights are turned off with candles set up everywhere and rose petals all over the floor. I try to flip the light switch but it doesn't work. Try to turn on the other light switch ...it doesn't work. Oh great I am thinking..."Did we forget to pay our electricity again? lol". No he just turned off the breaker. So I go to card #1. It gives me a clue to walk up the stairs. So I walk up the rose covered stairs. On the ledge that overlooks downstairs there is Card #2. This card gives me a clue to go to the bathroom and bring the candle. I walk into the bathroom and there is Card #3. This card gives me a clue to go to the bedroom. In the middle of the bedroom there is a beautiful heart box surrounded by roses. I put the candle down and open the box. It has a heart token inside. It says Kalli and Chris on one side and on the other it says...I love you with all my heart. Love, Chris 4-16-09. And I am thinking why would he put the date of today on this? Is it a special occasion I forgot? No couldn't be because I never forget special occasions. I just sit there dumbfounded and then...... "light bulb!" OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is going to propose! So I calm myself down and read the card. It gives me a clue to go downstairs to the dining room table. It told me to place the candle I had been carrying on this book that was on the table. Under the candle he had written "I blank you". And there was a ring in the middle. With the candle's light reflecting on the ring it made a heart underneath...so it said "I love you!". This card told me to go outside. There was rose petals leading out to the patio.

OMG! There he is!

He got down on one knee and proposed! I had the biggest grin on my face (that still has not gone away). I pulled him up...kissed him and said....... Yes!!!!!!

I now have to be the happiest girl on the planet!

We are engaged!!

Easter

So today me, Chris and Fifi went to Just for Dogs. They were having an easter egg hunt. Fifi got 2 easter eggs with tickets in them. One of them was for an easter egg cookie. The other was for a bunny cookie. We also got her a little pink shirt which we didn't realize was $25 until we got to the counter. I would have been too embarassed to say anything so we just bought it anyway. Everytime we go somewhere to get her food or something necessary we end up walking out with clothes and toys. She is too spoiled lol. It was all for a good cause though..50% of proceeds went to the Northwest Louisiana Humane Society. Photos are coming soon once my computer stops acting up...

Fire municipal civil service test

So Chris went in today and took the civil service test. We have been studying pretty good but I was still nervous. He said there was approx 260 people there taking the test with him! I didn't realize there was going to be that many. The test was 150 questions long and took 3 1/2 hours! I am so proud of him for sticking this out! Now we just have to wait 3-5 weeks to find out the results. Guuuhhhrrreeeaaattt!

Blogoversary

Happy 1 year blogoversary to me! Wow. I can't believe I have been blogging for a year now. Don't you just hate how time flys by when your having fun?

Ah!

So today I found out I am getting my dream camera! Thank you dad!! It is a Nikon D40.
